YWCA Union County has a proud history of advocating on behalf of women’s issues, workers’ rights, health issues, racial justice, and more. Our history continues into the present, as we partner with over 250 YWCA’s around the nation to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
As part of a national organization, we work in collaboration with YWCA’s across New Jersey and the country on specific legislative priorities. Our current Legislative Priorities are:
- Improve the Health and Safety of Women and Girls
- Advance Education and Economic Empowerment for Women and Girls
- Racial Justice and Civil Rights – Increase the equal protections and equal opportunities of people of color.
